Due to the traditional manufacturing techniques we still employ to produce our Hand made and machine made stock bricks, with their rich colour range, a good proportion of them find themselves at home in Norfolk and Suffolk, where they are a good match for traditional bricks that used to be produced in that region.

This property completed in 2008 is no exception. Located in a quiet rural location south west of Norwich in Norfolk, the project entailed the major refurbishment and extension of an existing farm, the remodeling of the grounds and new entrance gates.

A selection based on our Bovingdon Handmade Rural Multi was chosen to blend in sympathetically with the existing property; laid in Flemish bond, in conjunction with genuine flint work, which has a handful of brick headers dotted within it to keep true to the existing property.

Plinth stretchers and 48mm metric Handmade bricks in our Rural range were incorporated in to the front entrance gates. Other details such as the use of Plinth Stretchers a few courses above ground level, a stone parapet and stone cills to some of the windows with flat gauged brick arches above a mixture of sash and casement windows all add up to a convincing and sympathetic extension of the existing property, which in turn blends in well with the other old farm buildings.
