This impressive property is sited in an affluent area of South Buckinghamshire. The detached triple garage block had to be constructed initially in order to re-house a bat colony living in the existing house before work could start demolishing it and replacing the original house with this beautiful property and extensively landscaping the grounds.

The selection of our Bovingdon Handmade on the Red-side bricks was client led on this project, who took time to visit our brickworks and chose a hand selected colour range to incorporate a more evenly proportioned distribution of colours from of our Red-side range to give a unique colour blend to the property.

With its distinctive deep eaves this house incorporates many traditional brickwork design features; the bricks were laid in Flemish bond, a special shaped brick plinth feature has been used around the base of the house and an unusual barreled wall detail used on the rear elevation overlooking the gardens.

The subtle use of a raised brickwork band at first floor level and raised brick quoins on the corners add further interest to the brickwork without appearing fussy.

Accompanying these details, the incorporation of a stone portico on the front entrance and around the traditional sash windows stooled cills and flat gauged brick arches all combine to give this house a traditional yet highly individual appearance.
